Before I begin, taking my stand you should know, that it's Gods's doves that guide me. or at least that's the plan, but I'm still just a man, so I'm bound to miss a step or two. So the benefit of doubt, would be spared to you now, if you just had come out clean, but there's a phrase for those, who rule without clothes, and yeah, we can see right through No matter the lies that you spew, yeah we, can see right through Yeah, rules for thee, but not for me, is a tyrants rusty motto. So forgive me if I, just can't tell my eyes, what they behold has no weight. Oh, many have died, and more who have cried, by the sheer stroke of your pen, and you can hide behind that painted white smile, but you're just biding your time. Cause I believe there's no road, you could flee to or go, to escape the judgement that haunts you. So I'll pray for your soul, as you go pay the toll, to the one who can see right through. And when you run out of road, cloaked by the night there he'll be offering direction, to a road paved with seeds, sown by your deeds, and you'll know, just where it leads to. Yeah, rules for thee, but not for me, is a tyrants rusty motto. So forgive me if I, just can't tell my eyes, what they behold has no weight.

This is my final attempt, to clear my name with you. And there's a million words to choose, but twice as much we stand to lose. Have you solved that dream, that one you used to chase? Or has your mind gone and replaced, the garden with a cave? Then go deeper, then you'll see. You'll find a door, and you'll hold the key. Turn the knob, and let it swing, And there I'll be. Patiently. Until then, I pray, we make it through this maze. And with every step we take, the lines between us fade. For now our paths are split, like a steel axe to a log, But I'm reminded of the song, their embers hum along. But I went deeper, then I could see, I found a door, and I held a key, Turned the knob, and let it swing, But you weren't there, Anywhere. So farewell, my friend, the stranger. So long, to the misty memories we made. I tried, and I failed to reach you. Or you, shot down my messenger birds.

By Tomorrow 04:11
You can throw all your empty cans at me, Or fill them up, with your rage and gasoline. And as you torch the sky, I'll just look you in the eye, But by tomorrow, what will you have done. What will the papers, or the mockingbirds have to say? Will it be the lead for their first page? Or will the days go on, like they always seem to do? And by tomorrow, I'll be a piece of history. I can hear, our ancestors whispering, "Don't you dare make the same mistakes as me, Instead of endless fights, you could share the stars tonight, And by tomorrow, you'd have a chance at something new" So I propose, we take a page out of King and Marley, And Buddha, Christ, and the man who wrote "Hallelujah", Cause we can make mistakes, but we can also make amends, And by tomorrow, we'll have something new. You'll see me, and you know, that I'll see you.

the Storm 05:19
If you wanted, we could talk this through, and let the storm pass through, and take shelter. Cause let's be honest, who the hell can count, every cloud this gale has thrown us? Revolution, may have called to you, through that glowing tube on your altar, to tear it down, and let the whole thing burn, even if you're used for fuel. But those are storm clouds that grow in the distance, casting all stars, for now, out of view. And we can fight in the streets and get swept up, or band together and patch up the roof, come inside and talk this through. This, our house, though it's built on stone, has as well been home to many sinners, and timber wolves, leagues of aimless fools, long lost angry ghouls, and their hidden hand. But we're not them, and we can clear each room, bury every tomb and heal the land. Cause now's our chance, to make the angels proud, and let our bell ring loud, from this day, on. Cause now the storm clouds are closer than ever, casting all stars, for now, out of view. And we can fight in the streets and get swept up, or band together, and patch up the roof, come inside and talk this through.
